My name is Christine Adams and I have been privileged to have been in the Summer Village of White Sands since 2000. Married with two boys and now a granddaughter, we are fortunate to have spent those years as a family. I am a Pathologists’ Assistant (PA), in Anatomical Pathology at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. Emigrating to Canada in 1988 with a BSC in Biological Sciences I was fortunate enough to begin my career as a MLT in 1989. I advanced to the Pathologists’ Assistant position in 2006. I am registered with both the Canadian Association of Pathologists, Pathologist’s’ Assistant (CCCPA), and ACMLT. My occupation, in brief, requires extreme attention to detail, exact gross anatomical descriptions, extensive Anatomy knowledge, and selection of samples for diagnostic and treatment purposes by a Pathologist. Working closely with a team of professionals, including but not limited to, other PA‘s, physicians, surgeons, and a team of medical professionals. Having worked in this field, I have become a valuable team member with proficient organizational skills, problem-solving and strong communication, serving on many focus groups, committees, and professional learning conferences. I hope to bring these skills and more, as a Councillor for the Summer Village of White Sands, to contribute to the great Community we have in White Sands.
