DRAFT Plans for a Community Hall
Council will have to vote on how they will spend the large amount unapplied for grants that need to be spent on future Capital Projects. The Council has to spend $290,000 worth of MSI Capital Grants from 2007 to 2018, or have the money clawed back if unspent by December 2023. A community hall was a proposed idea that the Council is looking further into.
Below are DRAFT concept drawings of the proposed community hall. Council is looking for public feedback. There will be an in-person and Zoom meeting on Saturday, April 8, 2023, 10 am, at the Multi-Plex. All residents are welcome. The Zoom link is as followed if you cannot attend in-person:

Closure of County Lagoons to Summer Village Residents:
Please be advised that the Summer Village Municipalities have received notice from the County of Stettler that as of March 16, 2022, the County lagoons will not accept non-County of Stettler residents’ sewage form outside haulers. The Red Willow Lagoon needs work and until an approved project plan and work schedule are in place, the Erskine Lagoon is going to have to service only the County of Stettler and its residents to be able to manage the effluent levels of the Erskine Lagoon. The Summer Village of Rochon Sands and Summer Village of White Sands are diligently working together to resolve any issues to prevent any disruption of service with the private sewage haulers.
